Bai Suzhen, an experienced snake demon🐍, practiced magic and took on human form to repay Xu Xian’s kindness. Bai and her servant XiaoQing (a green snake🐍) planned an encounter and married Xu Xian. She then became pregnant🤰. Monk Fahai wanted to put an end to this relationship; thus, he instructed Xu Xian to feed Bai wine 🍶that can reveal her true identify. Xu Xian lost consciousness when his wife turned into a white serpent. Bai Suzhen went to Heaven to steal mystical herbs to resurrect Xu Xian. However, Fahai intercepted once again and locked Xu Xian up in Jinshan Temple. Bai Suzhen and Xiaoqing joined forces to summon water and flooded the temple; innocent lives were lost. Since Bai Suzhen violated the god’s law, Bai was put in a bowl by Fahai and suppressed under Leifeng Pagoda upon giving birth. Bai Suzhen's son, over time, grew up to become the TOP scholar in China.
