⛈⛈The sky is crying! Chinese believe drizzling rain is falling like tears as they honour the deceased during the Qingming Holiday. 清明(Qīngmíng) Qingming Festival, also known as ⛰Tomb-Sweeping Day, falls on the 15th day after the Spring Equinox, either on the 4, 5 or 6th of April. Families visit the tombs of their ancestors to clean the gravesites, pray for protection, make ritual food offerings and burn joss sticks/paper. 🙏🙏🙏
📝Qingming was frequently mentioned in Chinese literature. Among these, the most famous one is probably 杜牧 Du Mu's poem (simply titled "清明Qingming") describing such a traveler’s journey to pay respect and then seek out drinking to numb the pain of loss.😔
