What’s needed (requirement to take exam)
- Candidate must bring Identification Cards/ Passport and Admission ticket on the exam day
- For paper based exams, candidates need to bring a 2B Pencil and eraser.
Application Process (For Public)
- Crestar releases the test dates online
- Candidate registers for the test before the deadline
- Candidate registers for pre-test preparation course (optional)
- Candidate takes the test
- Candidate check their results online (1 month after the test)
- Candidate receive their report card (2 months after the test)

No, the two exams serve different purposes. The HSK evaluates a candidate’s overall language skills, including listening, speaking, reading, and writing, while the PSC focuses specifically on assessing spoken fluency in Standard Chinese.
Yes, all foreign nationals with a valid passport are welcome to register for the HSK exam.
No, there are no age or education restrictions. Anyone interested in assessing their Chinese proficiency is welcome to register for the HSK exam.
Different courses have varying language competency requirements. Please consult your course advisor to determine the appropriate HSK level.
You can purchase the HSK Test Syllabus or HSK Official Examination Papers from the HSK Centre (Crestar) front desk. Additionally, you can download sample papers from hsk-crestar.com.sg (click “Sample Papers”) or chinesetest.cn to assess which level matches your language proficiency.
You can register at the front desk of the Crestar HSK Education and Assessment Centre. Bring your identification document (IC for Singapore Citizens and PRs, or Passport for others), a passport-sized photo (for HSK Levels 3-6 or HSKK Beginner/Intermediate/Advanced oral exams), and a completed registration form.
Alternatively, you can fill out the online registration form via this link. A payment QR code will be sent to you by the Crestar HSK Education and Assessment Centre. Please email a photocopy of your ID (IC for Singapore Citizens and PRs, Passport for others), a passport-sized photo (for HSK Levels 3-6 or HSKK oral exams), and a cheque (made payable to “HSK Centre (Crestar)”) to the Crestar HSK Education and Assessment Centre.

Candidates may register for up to two consecutive HSK levels (from Level 1 to 6) as long as there is no scheduling conflict.
Payments can be made via cash, cheque (crossed and made payable to “HSK CENTRE (CRESTAR)”), NETS, MasterCard, or VISA. Please note that payments made with MasterCard or VISA will incur an additional bank administration fee.

You will need to select a later exam date.
No, the registration fee is non-refundable once payment is made. However, you may defer your registration before the deadline. After the deadline, deferment is not allowed.

Yes, but you will need to submit a new registration form and pay the fee again.
The HSKK oral exam is paper-based, and candidates will use a recording device provided at the test center.
